A New Foe is the first Quest in Act 3 Chapter 1: Shadows Revealed, and was released on December 10, 2014. It contains 3 paths and has 7 Opponents per path.
As part of the Prologue Initiative, this Quest was redesigned with updated battles, dialogue, and rewards on November 10, 2021.
It is preceded by 2.1.6: Conquered and succeeded by 3.1.2: Introduction.

The Collector: Congratulations, Summoner! You have vanquished Kang the Conqueror! But something else has also been eliminated -- The Collector: Your alliance with Thanos! Meet your new opponent... Thanos: Summoner. The Contest has evolved. Now you face me in the Battlerealm!
