- Not to be confused with Armor Up, a beneficial effect that increases Armor Rating.
Armor Rating is a base statistic that reduces incoming damage from attacks. Armor does not affect damage received from other sources, such as Damage Over Time effects like Bleed.
Critical Hits ignore a portion of Armor, while Direct Damage ignores all Armor.
Armor Rating can be modified in various ways:
- Buffs and Passive Effects that increase Armor Rating, e.g. Armor Up
- Debuffs and Passive Effects that decrease Armor Rating, e.g. Armor Break
- Synergy Bonuses, e.g. the Friends Synergy
- Nodes

Trivia[]
- Rhino and Symbioid have increased base Armor Rating as listed in their abilities.
- Armor Penetration is another base statistic that determines how much of the opponent's Armor Rating is ignored, which increases the damage dealt on attacks.
- Armor Rating is represented by a flat number, e.g. 342 for a 5-Star Rank 5 Colossus. This number is then converted into a percentage using the following diminishing returns formula:
- (Champion Armor Rating / [(5 * Opponent Challenge Rating) + Champion Armor Rating + 1500])[1]
- For example, if Colossus' percentage is 14%, then an attack that would've normally dealt 1000 damage would only deal 860 damage to Colossus.
