Falcon (Joaquín Torres) is a Science Champion. Being a Science Champion, he has a Class Bonus against Mystic Champions, but is weak to Skill Champions.
Bio[]
Joaquín Torres came to the United States with his family at a young age, always with the aspiration to do good by them, and by his heritage. At a later age, while on a supply run to assist his local community, he was kidnapped by the Sons of the Serpent, and sent to the ruthless Karl Malus for experimentation. Eventually he was rescued by Sam Wilson, but it was too late. Malus had turned Joaquín into a falcon/human hybrid using Cap’s own avian sidekick, Redwing. With this irreversible mutation, Joaquín accepted his new powers and took the mantle of the new Falcon. He joined the American Military and trained alongside Sam as one of America’s new Heroes.
Mechanics[]
Falcon benefits from having two distinct modes, each with their own unique gameplay effects. Weaving seamlessly between the two equates to his best results. His Defensive Instinct provides extra toughness and stability where his Aggressive Instinct provides additional bite. By inflicting the Opponent with non-damaging Debuffs other than his own Trauma Debuff, he gains Velocity Charges, which are unique resources to him. When at max stack of these, throwing a Special Attack triggers an ultimate state where Falcon gets to benefit from the effects of both Instincts at the same time for a brief period.
