- "Our battle is the same fight in many forms. One cosmic dictator after another. Thanos, the Collector, the Grandmaster, all shadows on a throne. Now another Elder is held above us. Same ruler in a different form. The pointless struggle made me give up and call out to a higher power. The Chronoserpent heard those calls. I found my purpose. I found my power. In my damnation... it gave salvation."
- —Glykhan[src]
Glykhan is an unplayable Combined Champion. Being a Combined Champion, he has a Class Bonus against Champions of every Class other than another Combined. He is the final boss of Act 8 Chapter 4.
Abilities[]
Punishing Angel of Ouroboros - Always Active
- Glykhan's obsession with punishing evildoers has materialized into Corrupted Armor through the influence of Ouroboros, granting him the following abilities:
- Glykhan does not take damage from any source except from hits that are chained from a Combo that has punished his Heavy Attack or Special Attacks. A Stun inflicted during a Special Attack or a Striker Opening can extend this chain.
- Hits that would deal damage to Glykhan are Guaranteed Critical Hits and deal bonus damage.
- The Attacker's Attack and Critical Damage Ratings and Glykhan's Armor Rating and Resistances are locked to their base values.
- Glykhan’s Ability Accuracy and Regeneration Rate cannot be modified. All of Glykhan’s personal effects bypass Immunities and any modifications to their duration or potency.
- Each hit of Glykhan's Special Attacks inflicts a Wound of Defiance Passive, dealing 3.5% of the Attacker's Max Health as Direct Damage over 2 seconds. These can trigger through Block.
- When Glykhan would be Knocked Out, he instead shatters and reforms his armor, regaining all of his lost Health, removing non-personal Buffs, Debuffs, and Passives from himself, and moving to the next Phase of the fight until the third and final Phase.
Divine Punishments - Cross-Fight Ability
- Glykhan manifests his wrath into Divine Punishment. Each unique Divine Punishment is activated by a different action, stacks up to 3 times, and carries between fights.
- When activating a Divine Punishment, the Attacker gains a 40% Prowess Passive, lasting until the end of the Phase. This Prowess cannot be removed by the Attacker's abilities.
- Hits that deal damage to Glykhan have +100% Spirit Rate for each active Divine Punishment.
- Punishing one of Glykhan’s Special Attacks that did not make contact with the Attacker removes 1 random Divine Punishment.
- When the Attacker is knocked out, 3 random Divine Punishment are removed.
- In Phase 1 and 2, gaining 12 total stacks of Divine Punishment removes all active Divine Punishment and grants the Attacker 3 Prowess Passives.
Punishment of Stupor - Inflict Glykhan with Stun
- When Glykhan is struck while Stunned, if the hit does not deal damage, he inflicts a Wound of Defiance per stack.
Punishment of Banality - Strike Glykhan's Block with Light Attack 1
- When Glykhan Blocks a Basic Attack (excluding Medium Attack 1 or Light Attack 1), he inflicts a Wound of Defiance per stack.
Punishment of Frustration - Intercept Glykhan Twice in a Row
- The Attacker's Stun and Striker Opening Ability Accuracy is reduced by 30% per stack.
Punishment of Tedium - Damage Glykhan with First Hit of a Striker
- Activating a Striker inflicts a Spirit Drain Passive, draining 50% of the Spirit Gauge per stack over 5 seconds per stack.
Punishment of Obliqueness - Damage Glykhan with First Hit of a Special
- When the Attacker activates a Special Attack, they are inflicted with a Power Drain Passive, draining 50% of a Bar of Power per stack over 3 seconds per stack.
Counter-Attack Charge
- When triggering a Divine Punishment that already has max stacks, instead Glykhan gains an Counter-Attack Charge, Counter-Attacking the next Basic Attack.
- This Counter-Attack Charge is removed if Glykhan is struck by the first hit of a Striker or Special Attack. While it is active, the Attacker cannot have or gain True effects.
- Glykhan's Counter-Attack ignores Unstoppable, cannot be prevented, cannot be interrupted or Evaded, and cannot be caused to Miss or fail.
- When Counter-Attacking, Glykhan fires a paralyzing blast that removes all Prowess from the Attacker and makes them unable to perform actions until hit.
Special Attack 3
- When the Attacker gains an Immortality or Indestructible effect, Glykhan immediately gains his Special Attack 3.
- Instantly Knocks Out the Attacker. This damage cannot be prevented or reduced.
Phase 1 - FOR JUSTICE
- Glykhan’s Special Attacks 1 and 2 cost 5% less power for each stack of Divine Punishment.
- Glykhan’s Combat Power Rate is reduced by 25%.
Phase 2 - FOR VENGEANCE
- While Glykhan has 2 Bars of Power, he will decide to use either his Special Attack 1 or 2 at random. Shortly after Glykhan’s Specials end, his power increases rapidly until reaching 2 Bars.
- On activation of Glykhan’s Special Attack 1 he gains an Unstoppable Passive and on activation of his Special Attack 2, he gains an Unblockable Passive. These effects last 16 seconds after the final hit of the Special, reduced by 4 seconds for each hit of the Special that did not land or strike into Block.
Phase 3 - FOR OUROBOROS
- Glykhan starts this phase with each of his Divine Punishment at max stacks.
- Triggering Divine Punishment removes them instead of activating them but still grants Prowess. When all are removed, they are reapplied following the next combo chain that damages Glykhan.
- When Glykhan activates a Special Attack or charges his Heavy Attack while the Attacker is in striking distance, the Attacker gains a Never Back Down Passive lasting 0.75 seconds after the Attack, or until striking Glykhan.
- Once per fight when receiving a lethal blow, Glykhan has a 99.96% chance to gain an Indestructible Passive, preventing damage from any source for 16 seconds. While active, Glykhan is more aggressive and any hit he lands instantly Knocks Out the Attacker.
Trivia[]
- Glykhan’s special moves can be best described as follows:
- His first special consists of a side kick, followed by jumping in the air to toss one of his hatchets at the player, before landing and teleporting towards the player in midair and smashing the ground with both hatchets, before kicking out at the player with both feet and maneuvering away.
- His second special consists of a spin attack with his hatchets, before teleporting towards the player to strike them with his hatchets, and repeating the same attack, before teleporting and tossing both of his hatchets at the player.
- His third special attack consists of multiple teleport strikes with his hatchets, before landing one final downwards blow with both of his hatchets.
