Magik is a Mystic Champion. Being a Mystic Champion, she has a Class Bonus against Cosmic Champions, but is weak to Science Champions.
Bio[]
Mutants are known to be mysterious and strange, yet Illyana Rasputina may be the most uncanny of them all. As Magik, she can teleport anywhere in the world (and occasionally, anywhere in time). As the Darkchilde, she is the sorceress supreme of the demon world Limbo, and wielder of the terrifying Soulsword. Illyana is sister to Colossus, best friend to Kitty Pryde, and a strict instructor at Cyclops' mutant school.
Mechanics[]
Magik is a powerful Power Control champion thanks to her Special 2, allowing her to handle Power Gain abilities and Nodes. And her Special 3 has increased attack based on the amount of Buffs and removes them.

Limbo
- Deals X Energy Damage per second. Any damage Magik takes during this period is rewound when the effect expires.

Dev Notes: Limbo is an amazing tool for offense, helping Magik Regenerate all the damage loss during the period of the effect, and defensive uses, with the Energy Damage she causes on the opponent.
Signature Ability[]
Darkchyld - Passive
- After filling a bar of Power, Magik has a 25% chance to enter a state of Limbo for 3 seconds. The chance increases by 12.5% after filling 2 bars, and by 25% after filling 3 bars. Based on current Signature Level, chances are multiplied by X%.

Dev Notes: With her Signature Ability, Magik will regenerate any health she lost during the duration of Limbo, helping for any mistakes or nodes.

Dev Notes: This ability will allow Magik to control even more of the Opponent’s Power, being specially useful in fights where the Special 3 is the most useful.
Special 1 - Soul Strike
Magik's Soulsword is forged from her own life force. One strike disrupts even the most powerful magic.
- 100% chance to Nullify. If a Buff is removed in this way, an additional X Energy Damage is dealt.

Special 2 - Severance
Appearing and disappearing by her will, the ethereal Soulsword severs the flow of Power within its target.
- 100% chance to enter a state of Limbo for the duration of these attacks.
- 85% chance to Power Lock, severing the target's flow of Power for 9 seconds.
- 100% chance to Power Steal, taking 33% enemy Power as your own.
Dev Notes: With the Special 2, Magik can lock the Opponent’s Power, and steal the Opponent’s Power for herself, allowing her to not worry about any Special Attacks.
Special 3 - Singularity
The Darkchilde's power mixes black and white magic, granting Illyana the power to transcend reality.

- Power Control
- Thanks to her Special 2, Magik can stop the Opponent from gaining any sort of Power.
- Buff Matchups
- Magik can be useful for fights with a lot of Buffs, gaining more attack and Nullifying all the Buffs on the Opponent with her Special 3.
- Limbo's Regeneration
- Limbo can give her some safety, and the Energy Damage during its duration can make her a good Alliance War defender
Weaknesses[]
- Debuff Immunity
- Since her Special 2 inflicts a Power Lock Debuff, if the Opponent can remove Debuffs, Magik won’t be able to lock the Opponent’s power.
- Ability Accuracy Reduction
- A way to shut down her Limbo is to reduce its Ability Accuracy, so it won’t activate and won’t cause any Energy Damage.
- Energy Resistance:
- Limbo deals Energy damage. Champions with high energy resistance like Yellowjacket and Bishop will take minimal damage from Limbo.
- Heal Block and Petrify
- If inflicted with a Heal Block or similar effect like Petrify, Magik won’t be able to regenerate from Limbo.
Recommended Masteries[]
- Recovery
- Since any damage taken during Limbo is recovered when the effect expires, Recovery will increase the amount of health gained, allowing her to recover more than she lost.
- Mystic Dispersion
- With Magik being a Mystic Champion, having high Mystic Dispersion will help her to get faster to her Special 2 for her Power Lock.
- Recoil
- With her Limbo activating during her Specials, the damage done by Recoil will be regained back after Limbo expires.
