Marvel Contest of Champions is a free-to-play mobile game developed and published by Kabam in collaboration with Marvel Games, based on characters and locations from the Marvel Universe. It was released on December 10, 2014 for iOS and Android.
In the game, players assume the role of a Summoner, and can fight with up to 317 characters (referred to as Champions), with 2 new characters released on a monthly cadence.
A spin-off game, Marvel: Realm of Champions, was released on December 16, 2020, with the story set in the same universe as Contest of Champions. It was shut down on March 31, 2022.
An arcade version developed by Raw Thrills was released in 2019.
Marvel Contest of Champions was ported to PC via direct download on May 15, 2025, and subsequently released on Steam on June 18, 2025.

Collect, level up, and manage your teams of heroes and villains wisely to receive synergy bonuses based upon team affiliation and relationships taken from the pages of Marvel Comics. Pairing up Black Panther and Storm or Cyclops and Wolverine for bonuses, or making a team of Guardians of the Galaxy for a team affiliation bonus. The more powerful the Champion, the better their stats, abilities and special moves will be. New Champions are being added to The Contest all the time!

Quests[]
- Story Quests: The main progression route in the game, currently consisting of 2 Books with 9 Acts in total. Completion of these Quests will unlock and upgrade Story Milestones.
- Event Quests: Monthly limited-time quests featuring newly-released characters.
- Back Issues: Permanent quests based on historical Event Quests, containing new layouts and increased difficulty.
- Special Quests: Endgame content for the most elite of Summoners.
Competitive Modes[]
- Battlegrounds: Build your deck and face off against other Summoners in a fast-paced match of 3, drafting attackers to counter the opponent's defenders!
Alliance Modes[]
- Alliance Quests: Work with your Battlegroup to complete and explore a map!
- Raids: An advanced version of Alliance Quests that occurs every 3 weeks. Pick from a limited pool of Champions, equip them with role boosts, and work with your Battlegroup to take down large bosses!
- Alliance Wars: Place defenders and face off against another alliance!
