Dialogue[]
Caption: Outside the Wakandan Palace, the Summoner and the others eagerly await the completion of Kang's Chrono Anchor.
Caption: Kang rapidly assembles the device, seemingly pulling tools and other materials through time to support the construction.
Carina: I don't want to rush a time-traveller, but...
Kang the Conqueror: You won't have to, it is done. Prepare yourselves, my "better half" will surely be aware of our actions soon.
Kang the Conqueror: The Conqueror has taken over the Collector's ship, the Ghost Orchid. It's being used both as a command center and bombardment platform.
Carina: Yeah... dad isn't too happy about that.
Carina: But I know that ship inside and out. We can infiltrate it in ways Superior Kang won't expect; if we can get to him alone, we'll have him dead to rights!
Carina: We can do this. Ready up everyone, we're about to change the timeline!
- Transmission #1 - Upon starting the Quest
Caption: The rag-tag group gathers out front of the palace. Kang holds the Chrono Anchor, making small adjustments on it and powering it up.
Carina: This will be as good as it gets. I'm going to use my powers to warp us into a secret part of the Ghost Orchid. From there we--
Caption: Carina is cut off by a thunderous rumble in the starry sky above. With a flash of light and warping of space, the Ghost Orchid fades into reality above them.
Carina: Oh... oh no. We've got to--
Caption: Again Carina is cut off as artillery begins to rain down from the ship and countless smaller vessels launch from the Ghost Orchid.
Caption: As the group takes cover in the palace and retreats deeper, Kang shoves the Chrono Anchor into the Summoner's hands.
Kang the Conqueror: The plan is over. It's all up to you now, Summoner!
Carina: What?! We can't send the Summoner alone, Kang!
Kang the Conqueror: DO YOU PRESUME I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS MOMENT BEFORE?!
- Transmission #2
Kang the Conqueror: Thrice I tried to stop Superior Kang. Thrice have I failed.
Kang the Conqueror: First on my own, the second time with your help, Carina, even together we were not enough, this I know.
Kang the Conqueror: I was captured on my third attempt... trying to find the Summoner.
Kang the Conqueror: We won't succeed... but the Summoner will; the Summoner must. I don't have the power for another jump. If you fail, we all fail.
Kang the Conqueror: So wipe that confident smirk off your face and fight him like you fought me!
Ægon: Truly, desperation creates strange bedfellows.
Gwenpool: I TOLD YOU!! ENEMIES TO ALLIES!
Guillotine: With the Summoner at the front, this is as good as won. We have your back!
Carina: I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I trust Kang. We'll clear the way for you, Summoner!
- Transmission #3
Caption: The heroes (and Kang) charge forth, immediately smashing through Superior Kang's frontline.
Caption: Carina points upward at the ship hovering menacingly above.
Carina: Summoner... I know you can do it!
Carina: Dinner at Guillotine's after, alright?
Caption: With a confident smile Carina begins to glow with the power of the Battlerealm, and in the blink of an eye the Summoner is teleported to the bridge of the Ghost Orchid.
- Transmission #4
Caption: The ship is quiet, control consoles active but unmanned. At the head of the ship Superior Kang stands, staring out the primary viewdeck of the bridge.
Superior Kang: Hmm, here we are again. I thought Kang would have given up on this plan by now.
Caption: Superior Kang turns, staring the Summoner down.
Superior Kang: Do you think this is the first time we've battled? Do you think this is the first time you've had the Chrono Anchor in your possession?
Superior Kang: Stephen Strange once boasted about observing a meagre 14,000,605 timelines to secure a victory. I have seen them all. Every single one.
Superior Kang: The end. The beginning. They meet in the middle. A serpent eating its own tail.
Superior Kang: And I know that no matter what I say, you still choose to fight. To die, meaninglessly.
Superior Kang: But if you truly believe a narrow-visioned creature such as yourself adequate to rule all, to protect us from what lies beyond...
Superior Kang: Then I welcome you to the stage of your doom.
Superior Kang: Keep this repeat performance interesting, at the very least.
