Patience of the Tortoise is the first Quest in the third Chapter in the Story Event Rise of the Black Panther.
It is preceded by Strength of the Elephant and succeeded by Fortitude of the Rhinoceros.

Storm: T'Challa, we have defeated Killmonger and have the Infinity Claw! Why are we doing nothing?
Black Panther (Civil War): By doing nothing, we are doing something, Ororo. Storm: You speak in riddles, T'Challa. What does our complacency accomplish? We must fight! Black Panther (Civil War): There will be time for fighting soon enough. For now, allow me to tell you a story. Hopefully my plan will make more sense once you hear it. Black Panther (Civil War): When I was a child, my father would always take me hunting. We would hunt wildebeest and all manner of wildlife all across Wakanda. Black Panther (Civil War): My father was a legendary hunter. Known to bring more pelts than one man could carry back to Birnin Zana after each hunt...

Black Panther (Civil War): Though I aspired to greatness like my father's, I could only every manage two or three pelts on a hunt. I longed to be better. Black Panther (Civil War): I thought myself fierce! I would pounce like Bast himself on my prey! But my father... my father preached that I might learn the patience of the tortoise. Black Panther (Civil War): Like a fool I balked at his wisdom. Panthers are agile! Powerful! What could a panther learn from an animal as slow and meek as the tortoise?

Black Panther (Civil War): On one hunt, we were crouched in the brush just on the edge of a clearing. I spotted the largest wildebeest I had ever laid eyes on. Black Panther (Civil War): In my hubris, I leapt from the brush, bounding towards the animal. My father's shouts to stop fell on deaf ears as the blood pulsed through my veins, anxious for the kill. Black Panther (Civil War): But my folly outmatched my speed and strength. In my narrow focus, I failed to see the entire herd of wildebeest grazing just past my target. Black Panther (Civil War): Though I struck down that wildebeest, the rest were startled, and began a stampede... Black Panther (Civil War): They trampled a nearby town... people lost their homes... their livelihoods...

Black Panther (Civil War): As we walked through the town the beasts had razed, my failure confronting me, my father looked at me again: Black Panther (Civil War): "T'Challa. The tortoise is not slow. It is not meek. The tortoise is patient, exacting, aware of its surroundings. Do you understand now?" Black Panther (Civil War): You see Ororo, sometimes you must wait for the right time to strike, and that time is now.
