Permafrost is the second Quest in the third Chapter in the Story Event X-Enforcers.
It is preceded by Snow Bird.

Jean Grey: Darn! He escaped before I could heal his mind! It looks like someone tried to unlock his omega potential, but they've pushed him to the brink. He hasn't reached his maximum power yet, but he's close.
Beast: His psyche won't be able to bend much before it breaks, Summoner. We may have to consider direct intervention again if that happens.
Wolverine: You sure ya wanna tango with Iceman when he's off his rocker?
Colossus: Bobby is one of most powerful mutants. I do not think we can stop him if he uses true power. Beast: We won't have another option. Either we stop Bobby, or he could freeze the entire Battlerealm solid - and everyone in it.
- Transmission #1 - Upon starting the Quest
Psylocke: There is only one way you will succeed in preventing the destruction of this place. Join us. Unleash your potential and claim the power you hold inside yourselves! Psylocke: And you, Bobby. There is such greatness within you, and you run from it. Break the bonds that hold back your true self!
Iceman: You... You can't control me! I can't... I can't... Psylocke: You can, but you won't! Don't hold back! Jean Grey: Don't listen to her, Bobby. You must not let her manipulate you for her own ends! Iceman: Both of you... Stay... Away!

Iceman: ARRRGHH! Jean Grey: Summoner, he's losing control! Stop him! Iceman: STOP TRYING TO CONTROL ME!

Iceman: I... I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. Beast: It's quite alright, Bobby. I was in a similar situation when the Terrigen Mists overwhelmed me. The body often lashes out when the mind is attacked.
Magneto (Marvel NOW!): Such a shame you share the poor judgment of your fellow X-Men. If only you had taken our offer, the Summoner would have never stood a chance. Psylocke: It's not too late, Bobby. We can still help you reveal your power to the world! Iceman: You're right, Betsy. I do have yet to reach my full potential, but I refuse to reach it as someone's puppet. Someday, I'll harness the power inside me, but I won't give up my free will just to do it, like you.
