Spider-Man (Pavitr Prabhakar) is a Mystic Champion. Being a Mystic Champion, he has a Class Bonus against Cosmic Champions, but is weak to Science Champions.
Bio[]
Pavitr Prabhakar was born and raised in the vibrant but gridlocked city of Mumbattan. Granted magical spider powers by a shaman and guided by the moral lessons of his Aunt Maya and late uncle Bhim, he has assumed the heroic mantle of Spider-Man. Though succeeding at school, saving small animals, and fighting crime while dating the daughter of a police chief would prove a heavy burden to most, Pavitr strikes the balance almost effortlessly. These model heroics led to his early induction into Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Society. When the Spot invades his city and causes a disaster, Pavitr gets a painful look at the darker sides of his new life, ultimately leading him to join the Spider-Gang and search for a better way forward for the multiverse.
Mechanics[]
Pavitr is a master of controlling the battlefield, able to web up his Opponent with Spider-Seals regardless of where he engages them. He regularly steals power and uses it to replace the Opponent’s Buffs with his own, stripping away defenses and then going for the KO with a massive burst of damage.

Abilities[]
Always Active
- Pavitr’s attacks deal a burst of X Energy Damage and do not make contact with Cosmic Opponents.

- For each Buff on the Opponent, Pavitr gains a 2% chance to Evade incoming attacks. Pavitr will not Evade while Blocking a Basic Attack.
- Being Spider-Man is so easy that Pavitr does not need to benefit from the Mystic Dispersion Mastery.
- Pavitr can toggle whether he starts to run after idling by double tapping Block during his Heavy and Special Attacks.
Dev Notes: This section doesn’t really play into Pavitr’s rotations, but lets you know some ground rules for his kit that will come in handy elsewhere. Note the lack of Mystic Dispersion and the chance to evade – this evade is his primary defensive threat!
Shape The Battlefield – Mystic Webs
- At the start of each fight, Pavitr summons three Mystic Webs onto the stage, one at each wall and another in the center.
- When Pavitr’s Opponent passes through a Mystic Web, it binds to them, placing a Spider-Seal Buff on them. The webs will then reform after 3 seconds, or instantly when Pavitr activates a Special Attack.
- If Pavitr knocks his Opponent through a Mystic Web during a Special Attack, he places two additional Spider-Seals on them for each level of the Special Attack.
Dev Notes: Pavitr is the latest champion to play with Effect Locations, a broad term for when we ask you to keep track of a point on the field other than the two Champions or the far walls. In his case, he cares less about keeping the Opponent in any one spot and more about making sure they are constantly moving, as this dance only benefits him. The Spider-Seals he places have no effect on their own, but Pavitr makes good use of them elsewhere in the kit.
The Subtle Body – Power Steal
- When the Opponent gains 1+ Buffs, Pavitr Power Steals 2% of their Max Power or 4% of their current Power, whichever is more.
- This Power Steal’s base potency is increased by 125% while the Opponent has an Energize or Power Gain Buff, and it does not trigger when the Opponent has 3 Bars of Power.
Dev Notes: The most immediate effect of the Opponent gaining Buffs is that Pavitr Power Steals when they do. We’ve seen a similar effect before on Kushala and Nico Minoru, but Pavitr makes his Opponent’s Power go down as well as his own go up.
Pavitr’s Power Steal is also unique (so far) in that it is based either on the Opponent’s Max Power or on their current Power, depending on whether they are below or above half of their total power. This allows his Power Steal to be stronger when the Opponent is closing in on 3 bars without shrinking away to nothing when they don’t have as much to take.
Titan Hunter – Neutralize
- During the Opponent’s Special Attacks, Pavitr inflicts a 35% Neutralize Passive for the duration of the attack and for 2 seconds afterwards. This Neutralize reduces the Ability Accuracy of True Buffs by an additional non-stacking 50%.
- When a Buff is prevented by Neutralize or Marked, Pavitr places a Spider-Seal Buff on the Opponent.
Dev Notes: Neutralize is not a new effect, but often one risks losing it just before the Opponent activates a Special Attack. Pavitr trades in more traditional access to the ability to make sure he has it up in those sometimes-critical places.
Seal Away Evil – Spider-Seal Buffs – Max: 20
- Spider-Seals are indefinite and have no effect on their own. Pavitr gains benefits based on how many are active on his Opponent.
- 5+ Seals: The Opponent acts more aggressively when not within striking distance, and Pavitr inflicts a second Neutralize during the Opponent’s Special Attacks.
- 10+ Seals: Personal bursts of damage gain 400% increased potency.
- 15+ Seals: Activating a Special Attack grants a +X Fury Passive for 45 seconds. Reaching 15 Seals for the first time during a Special Attack also grants this Fury. Max stacks: 3.
| Tier | Attack Rating |
|---|---|
| 27.88 | |
| 74.12 | |
| 185.64 | |
| 372.13 | |
| 634.78 | |
| 1612.28 |
Dev Notes: Placing his own Buffs on the Opponent makes Pavitr significantly stronger, improving his fight control, Buff Control, and damage. Additionally, his increase to burst damage potency is additive with Champions or nodes that reduce the potency of the same, allowing him to mitigate those defenses.
Heavy Attacks
- The final hit Nullifies 1 Fury Buff and inflicts a Power Steal Passive, stealing 50% of a Bar of Power over 5 seconds. Cooldown: 25 seconds.
Dev Notes: If Pavitr’s normal Power Steal isn’t keeping up with his Opponent, or if his Neutralize misses a big Fury Buff, the Heavy offers a little bit of extra control, but use it sparingly.
Signature Ability[]
Seshnag - Always Active
- Each Buff on the Opponent reduces the duration of Inexorable and Unstoppable effects on them by X%, to a maximum of 80%.
| Tier | Duration % |
|---|---|
| 3 - 6.02% | |
| 3 - 6.02% | |
| 3 - 6.02% | |
| 3 - 10.03% | |
| 3 - 10.03% | |
| 3 - 10.03% |
- Personal Energy Vulnerabilities are paused during Pavitr’s Special Attacks, and for X seconds after for each level of the Special.
| Tier | Duration (sec) |
|---|---|
| 2 - 3.62 | |
| 2 - 3.62 | |
| 2 - 3.62 | |
| 2 - 5.01 | |
| 2 - 5.01 | |
| 2 - 5.01 |
- For every 25% of the Opponent’s missing Health, Pavitr’s Marked Passive gains 100% base potency, even if already active.
Dev Notes: Pavitr’s Signature Ability offers him some powerful protection against effects that interfere with him moving the Opponent around the field. This duration reduction won’t answer an Unstoppable that triggers while striking the Opponent, but it’s very good for ensuring Pavitr doesn’t have to wait long before resuming his assault.
He also gets better uptime on his Energy Vulnerabilities and his Marked becomes more powerful as his Opponent gets weaker, allowing him to more reliably finish off dangerous foes. Note that the Marked potency by necessity only updates after damage is dealt, so plan your killshots carefully.
Special Attacks[]
Waiting to Strike
- When Pavitr activates a Special Attack during the Opponent’s Dash or immediately upon Dodging, inflict a X Energy Vulnerability Passive for 18 seconds. Max stacks: 5.
| Tier | Energy Resistance |
|---|---|
| 425 | |
| 462.5 | |
| 500 | |
| 525 | |
| 562.5 | |
| 687.5 |
Dev Notes: It might be tempting to call what Pavitr does here “Special Intercepting,” but he doesn’t actually need to strike the Opponent while they’re dashing. He either needs to activate the Special during the dash, or do so just after dodging backwards.
Pro tip: both of these things become easier once the Opponent has enough Seals on them to be more aggressive.
Special 1 - Crab Bow Mount
Pavitr uses his bangle as a webbing yo-yo to force the Opponent backwards and line them up for a point-blank archery shot.
- On activation, inflict a 35% Marked Passive for 24 seconds, refreshed when Pavitr performs any Special Attack, unless he is Poisoned.
- The final hit places 2 Spider-Seal Buffs on the Opponent.
Dev Notes: The guaranteed Spider-Seals on this Special make it good for ramping, and the long Marked helps ensure Opponents don’t cheat their way out of a K.O.
Special 2 - Agninrutyam
Pavitr fires off a quick pattern of kicks before pulling himself aloft for a brutal, perfectly balanced descent.
- During this attack, Pavitr gains an additional +X Attack Rating for each personal Fury active.
| Tier | Attack Rating |
|---|---|
| 36.08 | |
| 95.92 | |
| 240.24 | |
| 481.58 | |
| 821.48 | |
| 2086.48 |
- The final hit consumes all but 5 Spider-Seals on the Opponent to deal a burst of X Energy Damage. Base potency is increased by 10% for each Buff consumed.
| Tier | Energy Damage |
|---|---|
| 196.8 | |
| 523.2 | |
| 1310.4 | |
| 2626.8 | |
| 4480.8 | |
| 11380.8 |
Dev Notes: This fiery descent from above is Pavitr’s cashout. Any Furies, new or existing, become temporarily stronger, and the last hit can deal an incredible amount of damage with enough Seals and Vulnerabilities.
Special 3 - Flight of the Chrysilla Volupe
A few well-placed webs set up Pavitr's prey for a truly epic takedown.
- Inflict an 80% Neutralize Debuff for 45 seconds.
- Gain a Regeneration Passive, healing 15% of missing Health over 15 seconds. Base potency is increased by 5% per Spider-Seal Buff on the Opponent.
- Pavitr finishes this attack in the same place he activated it if he is on the Opponent’s side of the field.
Dev Notes: If Pavitr’s primary Neutralize effect isn’t cutting it, he can cut down on the Opponent’s Buff triggers further with this attack, and again any Buffs prevented will be replaced with Spider-Seals. It also allows him to recover some missing health in longer fights.
This Special also uses new tech to make sure you exit it where you want to be. It can get you out of the corner if you’re in trouble, but it also won’t pull you away from the Opponent’s wall if you intentionally move them there.
Synergy Bonuses[]
Incoming Synergies to be added
Recommended Stat Focus[]
Attacker[]
- Block Proficiency
- Or really anything. Pavitr has a naturally high Critical Rating, but also doesn’t care that much about the size of his critical hits. I would avoid Special Damage, Block Penetration and Critical Rating, but basically any other stat focus is defensible for offense, depending on the matchups you intend to take.
Defender[]
- Block Penetration
- You could easily go with a resistance, but evading defenders tend to end up making the attacker block more, so making those blocks hurt will generally help.
Recommended Relics[]
- Doctor Doom
- Most of Pavitr’s damage is bursts of Energy Damage, which are somewhat protected by his Energy Vulnerabilities, but against opponents with truly large amounts of Energy Resistance, he will still struggle. Unless of course you use this relic to cut through the remaining positive resistance.
Champion Summary[]
Attacker Summary[]
- Move the Opponent back and forth over the webs.
- Especially do so with Specials.
- Build to 15+ Spider Seals with Webs and Special 1.
- Use Special 2 for damage based on Spider Seals.
- Special Intercept* for more damage.
*not really, but it’s close enough for now.
Defender Summary[]
- Place Buffs on the Attacker.
- Power Steals when the Attacker gains a Buff.
- Chance to Evade based on Attacker Buff count.
