The Summoner's Choice is a voting system where the players can vote, in game or on social media, on several Champions that are net yet released in the game. The champions to vote on are pre-selected by Kabam, and through a knock-out system a single Champion will become the winner and gets released in the game first. Other champions can be released in a later stage. Each round revealed a little more information about the champions, like the Class type and the mechanics.
2020[]
In the first Summoner's Choice that started on November 9, 2020 the eight champions that could be voted on were: Okoye, Hercules, Morbius, Dazzler, Blue Marvel, Omega Sentinel, Ironheart and Morgan Le Fay. The first voting round was from November 9 until November 13.
From these eight champions four would go on to the next voting round, which was open from 16 November until 20 November. The champions in this round were: Hercules, Omega Sentinel, Morbius and Ironheart. In this round the classes of the champions were revealed, respectively Cosmic, Tech, Science and Tech.
Only two champions would remain for the last round that was open from November 23 until November 27. These champions were: Hercules and Omega Sentinel. In this round the vision of the champions mechanics were revealed.
On December 10 the Summoner's Choice champion was revealed: Hercules with 397.000 votes in the last round. In the next months some insights were shared on how this champion was build through Dev Diaries.
- Hercules would eventually be released on July 15, 2021.
- The runner-up Omega Sentinel would be released on March 31st, 2022.
- Morbius would be released on October 13, 2023.
- Ironheart would be released on February 15, 2024.
- Dazzler would be released on November 28, 2024.
- Okoye would be released on January 16, 2025.
- Blue Marvel will be released on February, 2026.
2022[]
On January 7, 2022 the second Summoner's choice started. This time the first round contained 12 champions. These 12 champions were divided into three brackets of four champions. The players could place their votes only on the champions in the bracket.
- Bracket 1: Armor, Dani Moonstar, Agatha Harkness and Kushala.
- Bracket 2: Beta Ray Bill, Crystal, Bullseye and Baron Zemo.
- Bracket 3: Spider-Woman, Quicksilver, Hobgoblin and Prowler.
The champions with the most votes would go on to the next voting round, and one champion would be receive a wildcard and was chosen by the most retweets on Twitter.
The next round of 4 started on January 14 and consisted of two brackets:
- Bracket 1: Agatha Harkness and Baron Zemo (wildcard winner).
- Bracket 2: Beta Ray Bill and Quicksilver.
The classes of the champions were revealed, being respectively Mystic, Skill, Cosmic and Science.
The last round of 2 started on January 21 being between Agatha Harkness and Quicksilver.
On January 31 it was revealed that Quicksilver had won with 1.652.357 votes.
- Quicksilver would eventually be released on August 26, 2022.
- Baron Zemo would be released on January 26, 2023.
- Dani Moonstar would be released on June 15, 2023.
- Kushala would be released on November 16, 2023.
- Bullseye would be released on January 18, 2024.
- Prowler would be released on April 11, 2024.
- Beta Ray Bill would be released on August 15, 2024.
- Spider-Woman would be released on April 17, 2025.
On October 17 a teaser image was revealed on Twitter with champions where one could return in the next Summoner's Choice. These champions had received less votes than other champions and would be labeled the Underdog Vote. On October 18 these champions were revealed: Blue Marvel, Spider-Woman, Dazzler, Okoye, Prowler, Bullseye, Armor and Morgan Le Fay. The winner of the Underdog vote would be chosen by most retweets on Twitter on October 24. It was revealed that the winner was Bullseye.

2023[]
On January 5, 2023[1] the 8 champions for the new Summoner's choice where revealed: Deathlok, Marrow, Bullseye, Echo, White Tiger, Gladiator, Spider-Punk and Sunfire.
- Gladiator would eventually be released on September 14, 2023.
- Bullseye would be released on January 18, 2024.
- The runner-up White Tiger would be released on February 1, 2024.
- Spider-Punk would be released on April 25, 2024.
2024[]
On January 5, 2024[2] the 8 champions for the next Summoner's choice where revealed: Shathra, The Beetle, Blob, Shriek, Swarm, Viper, Ruby Thursday and Black Tarantula. The first voting round started on January 19, 2024 and ended on January 22, 2024
The champions with the most votes would go on to the next voting round, and one champion who was chosen by the most retweets on X (formerly known as Twitter) would automatically move on.
The next round started on January 26, 2024 and ended on January 29, 2024. The champions in this round were: Shathra, Shriek (Social Wildcard Winner), Blob and Black Tarantula. The classes for the remaining champions were revealed to be Mystic, Mutant, Mutant and Skill respectively.
The final round started on February 2, 2024 and ended on February 5, 2024. The champions in this round were Shathra and Black Tarantula.
On February 9 it was revealed that Shathra had won with 52.5% of the vote.
- Shathra would eventually be released on September 26, 2024.
2025[]
On December 27, 2024[3] the 8 champions for the next Summoner's choice where revealed: Daredevil (Elektra), Echo, Hellcat, The Shroud, Colleen Wing, Hunter's Moon, Mr. Knight and Power Man.
On February 2025 it was revealed that Mr. Knight had won the vote.
- Mr. Knight would eventually be released on September 25, 2025.
