Thanos (Deathless)

Thanos (Deathless) is a Cosmic Champion. Being a Cosmic Champion, he has a Class Bonus against Tech Champions, but is weak to Mystic Champions.

Thanos is available exclusively as a Trophy Champion, and can only be obtained through the Special Event Deathless Mausoleum, after having collected all other Deathless Champions.

Bio[]

In years past, Champions from the Death Realm staged an assault on the Battlerealm. They were led by a twisted simulacrum of the Mad Titan, who distilled from the unique energies of this pocket universe six new Infinity Stones to spread discord and destruction. Now he has returned to lead his Deathless elite in a campaign of terror against the Contest and its meager defenders.

Mechanics[]

The Deathless Titan is a relentless ball of destruction. He gains Specials more quickly, gets easy access to openings with Counterpunch, ramps up with big Furies and shatters his opponent’s Armor, all while healing off their pain. He is also the first Champion with access to Corrosion, a new damaging effect that hurts even more when the Opponent’s Armor is reduced.

Abilities[]

Titan Protocol

Thanos's long reign in deep space has twisted his Eternal Physiology, granting him Immunity to Coldsnap, Frostbite, and Poison.
The first time each fight Thanos loses a multiple of 25% of his Max Health, he gains a 40% Protection Passive for 2 seconds, paused during the Opponent’s Special Attacks and unaffected by Ability Accuracy.

Necrotic Energy - Max: 60

Gain +1 Necrotic Energy when landing a hit. As a Defender, gain +2 when an Opponent strikes Thanos or his Block.
Thanos starts each fight with an indefinite Energize Buff, increasing his Combat Power Rate by 15%, increased by +0.5% flat per Necrotic Energy, or by +1% flat as a Defender. The potency of this Buff can only be modified by Thanos.
When this Energize is removed or prevented, it is restored after 8 seconds.

Unstoppable Scion of Chaos

For every 10 Necrotic Energy he would gain, Thanos gains a Counterpunch Charge for 24 seconds, or 12 seconds as a Defender. Max stacks: 2.
Thanos does not spend Charges while Unstoppable, executing a Well-Timed Block, or when Blocking non-final hits of Special Attacks.
If Thanos would gain a Counterpunch Charge while at max stacks, he instead gains an Unstoppable Passive for 3 seconds.
Gaining Unstoppable inflicts a Panic Debuff for 5 seconds.
Interrupting the Opponent's attacks with a Heavy Attack or while Unstoppable grants +5 Necrotic Energy and pauses personal Furies and Armor Shattered for 8 seconds.

Master of War - Heavy Attack

Charging a Heavy Attack after landing a non-Combo Ending Attack inflicts a Stun Passive for 0.75 seconds.
Each hit either Pulverizes one Armor Up effect if any are active or inflicts an Instant Corrosion if not, both dealing X damage.
On the final hit, or when canceling this attack with Special Attack 1 or 2, consume 30 Necrotic Energy to inflict a non-stacking X Armor Break Debuff and an Armor Shattered Debuff for 16 seconds.
Thanos does not inflict Armor Shattered if it is already active with more than 25% of its duration remaining.

Special Attacks[]

Special Attack 1 - Genesis Blast
Thanos activates the Genesis Stone to blast his Opponent backward with a triple beam and then slams his fist into the ground, generating a shockwave of pure creation.

On activation, gain a Fury Buff increasing Attack Rating by +X for 16 seconds. Max stacks: 8.
The first hit consumes 20 Necrotic Energy. Each subsequent hit has a 40% chance to grant an additional Fury. If Energy was consumed, the chance is 100% instead.
After the final hit, gain a non-stacking Genesis Passive for 10 seconds, allowing Thanos to Passively Regenerate 2% of all damage taken by the Opponent.

Special Attack 2 - Nightmare Mote Barrage
Thanos violently throws the opponent backward before tapping into the Nightmare Stone to summon two deadly bolts of energy, each disguised by illusory siblings.

Some projectiles in this attack are nothing but a bad dream. The real ones ignore 80% of the Opponent’s Block Proficiency and Armor Rating.
Each hit inflicts a X Corrosion Debuff for 8 seconds and consumes 15 Necrotic Energy to apply two additional Debuffs.
As a Defender, Thanos consumes 10 Necrotic Energy to start a 0.75 second timer when the Opponent Dodges backwards during this Attack. Dodging again while this timer is active inflicts an Instant X Corrosion.

Special Attack 3 - Apotheosis
Thanos activates his Gauntlet, briefly growing to great size and then crushing his pathetic opponent.

The first time each fight this attack is used, Thanos draws on the Evolution Stone to permanently increase his maximum Necrotic Energy by +20. Additionally, he gains one more Energy when striking the Opponent with Medium Attacks.
Inflict an indefinite Corrosion Passive, dealing X Physical Damage per second. Max stacks: 10.

Signature Ability - Death Arrives All The Same[]

Passive

Personal effects expire up to X% more slowly and gain up to 100% increased Ability Accuracy, scaling with Necrotic Energy. These bonuses have half potency at zero Energy.
At the start of Thanos’s first fight each Quest as an Attacker and each fight as a Defender, he gains X Necrotic Energy. This does not grant Counterpunch Charges and cannot happen again until Thanos’s teammates win a fight.
Personal Protections gain +1% flat potency per Necrotic Energy.

If this Burns at least 50% of a Bar of Power, gain 1 personal Phase Charge. Unique Synergy: Does not stack with duplicate synergies.
Iron Heel		She-Hulk (Deathless): Gain Immunity to Rupture effects, and the Ability Accuracy of She-Hulk’s personal Debuffs and the Parry Mastery can only be reduced by Skill Champions. Unique Synergy: Does not stack with duplicate synergies.
Umbral Vanguard		Synergy Champions: In the Necropolis, gain +50 Vengeance Charges. If all Champions are present: Guillotine: On activation, Special 1 inflicts a non-stacking 150% Neutralize Passive for 15 seconds. King Groot: When struck by an Unblockable attack, spend one Fury Buff to gain an Unstoppable Passive for 3 seconds. Vision: Personal Fury max stack increases by +6, and their pause is increased by +5 seconds. She-Hulk: Punishing the Opponent’s Special or Heavy Attacks grants a Grit Buff for 10 seconds. Unique Synergy: Does not stack with duplicate synergies.
