Dialogue[]
Caption: Not another second wasted, Carina and friends burst into the Galactorum where the summit is being held, interrupting one of the speakers.
Doctor Strange: - which is why it's important we gather here to... wait, Carina? When I asked you here I hoped it'd be with a bit more decorum.
Carina: Apologies Strange but you'll be thanking us in a second. Rogers, hit them with an info dump.
Caption: Steve nods and activates the broadcast. Every screen, panel, and projection begins to scroll the Ouroboros evidence the team has gathered.
Carina: This isn't a peace summit, it's a sinister trap. Find Frank Castle before he activates the attack.
Doctor Strange: All of this is madness, he was vetted and cleared to be security detail on this. Castle? Come out here, explain this, and do your job.
Caption: Everyone in the room glances around nervously. Punisher does not reveal himself, but from the shadows his voice comes forth.
Caption: -- My job is exactly what I intend to perform. I have duties and responsibilities which must now be realized. --
Caption: Around the edges of the Galactorum there is a murmur that turns into shouts then screams as several summit attendees begin to transform...
Caption: ... and they become murderous super-powered Adaptoids who are determined to attack the other delegates!
- Transmission #1 - Upon starting the Quest
Caption: Doctor Strange wheels around, trying in vain to protect the crowd against itself.
Doctor Strange: This can't be happening. We had protection spells, we had guards, we had every angle covered, we... we...
Caption: Leaping from the swelling riot of champions, Glykhan reveals himself as he brings a thundering attack down on Strange.
Glykhan: You have nothing. You are nothing. Fight, die, fulfill your purpose.
Caption: Before the rest can react, Glykhan vanishes back into the chaos of the crowd. Carina and her team rush to Strange's side.
Carina: Stephen, this is what I was fighting against. This is what I was trying to prevent. I... I failed. I'm so sorry.
Caption: Strange gathers what little strength he has left after the attack to pull Carina close, looking fiercely into her eyes.
Doctor Strange: You've fought every inch so far. Don't you dare stop now. You've only failed when you've given up, and I know you're not capable of that.
Doctor Strange: Finish what you started, Carina Tivan. Save the Battlerealm.
Caption: Strange collapses, the room begins to darken, and screams fill the air. Carina stands then motions to her team as they all head into the fray.
- Transmission #2
Caption: Fighting through the crowd, they follow an energy trail from Glykhan to a particularly dark corner of the Galactorum.
Carina: All your compatriots loved to talk, Glykhan. Your group can't help it. Come on then... step into the light and tell your sad little story.
Glykhan: You know us well, Elder's daughter. Perhaps because we've fought so many times before.
Guillotine: I think we'd remember if Carina fought someone as hideous as you.
Glykhan: Our battle is the same fight in many forms. One cosmic dictator after another. Thanos, the Collector, the Grandmaster, all shadows on a throne.
Glykhan: Now another Elder is held above us. Same ruler in a different form. The pointless struggle made me give up and call out to a higher power.
Glykhan: The Chronoserpent heard those calls. I found my purpose. I found my power. In my damnation... it gave salvation.
Ægon: So you took all that power and didn't think about the terrible price you'd have to pay?
Glykhan: My goal and the price are one and the same. I seek an end to this war, an end that can only come from one possible path...
Glykhan: ... the complete and utter destruction of the Battlerealm and every soul within it.
- Transmission #3
Carina: Did the others on your team agree to this payment plan of yours? I have to think their corrupted upgrades came with the same cost.
Glykhan: Each had a need, each was given a gift. Romanov's insecurity, Banner's paranoia, and Stark's hunger for knowledge made them easy targets.
Glykhan: I needed an army, they needed an escape. Both were provided.
Civil Warrior: Well this has been a very illuminating talk with an absolutely unhinged murder maniac, but I think we're about done with it now.
Glykhan: Yes, you crave battle, as do I. It is a shame that once I destroy you, you too will not be able to see the true fruition of this story.
Ægon: You're the last monster standing, Glykhan. This is the end of your chapter.
Glykhan: Is it? Your Council is literally ripping itself apart. Nobody trusts anybody now, and they are very tired. They will not recover from this betrayal.
Guillotine: We won't be tricked into petty squabbles, and we won't wage your war. You've underestimated our strength.
Glykhan: I've estimated it just fine. I've seen all of your panic and weakness. I see a flock of lambs unaware of the wolves that stalk them. But I see no strength.
Carina: Don't worry, we've saved our last bit of power for shutting down monsters like you.
