Werewolf By Night is a Mystic Champion. Being a Mystic Champion, he has a Class Bonus against Cosmic Champions, but is weak to Science Champions.
Bio[]
Upon inheriting the curse of lycanthropy on his 18th birthday, Jack Russell began his lifelong struggle with his werewolf alter-ego. Always pursued by beast hunters, criminals and other creatures alike, Jack regularly fights against those who seek to control his werewolf persona for their own purposes. Over time, Jack came to accept the beast within him and gained the ability to transform at will, only feeling the urge to transform on night of the full moon, thus becoming the Werewolf By Night.
Mechanics[]
Werewolf plays out as you’d imagine a werewolf would, utilizing a feral berserk rage combined with lethal claws and teeth to ravage foes. He has the ability to apply Rupture Debuffs extremely effectively, even while striking into an opponent’s Block! His unique Chilling Howl mechanic allows him to control his own Power Gain and push himself closer to his Curse of Lycanthropy, making him a dangerous threat as a Defender. Once Werewolf has been pushed into his Curse of Lycanthropy, it is hard to stop this beast. Do not find yourself cornered if this were to trigger.

- Werewolf By Night is Immune to Heal Block and incoming Poisons suffer -90% duration, but he has -50% Regeneration rate when fighting against #Silver champions.
- Medium Attack 1 and Light Attack 4 inflict a Rupture Debuff dealing X Physical Damage over 15 seconds. This can trigger through Block.

Chilling Howl
- As a Defender, Werewolf By Night has a 60% chance to attempt a Chilling Howl after Dodging back or using a Heavy or Special Attack.
- As an Attacker, after Dodging back or using a Heavy or Special Attack, Werewolf By Night stands still for 1.7 seconds, triggering a Chilling Howl. Cooldown: 7 seconds.
- Howling grants a Power Gain Passive granting 8% of Max Power for each missing Bar of Power over 3 seconds. This is removed if Werewolf By Night is struck while Howling.
- Gain a Lycanthropy Charge when attempting to trigger a Chilling Howl or crossing a Bar of Power. When Werewolf By Night gains a Charge while the Opponent is suffering from a Rupture effect, gain an additional Charge. Max: 10.
- Werewolf By Night starts each fight with 3 Lycanthropy Charges during the Full Moon.
Curse of Lycanthropy
- Reaching 10 Lycanthropy Charges activates Curse of Lycanthropy for 10 seconds. This ability is paused during Basic Attacks, Striker Attacks, Special Attacks, and while the Opponent is outside of striking distance and has at least 2 unique Buffs.
- Werewolf By Night gains +70% flat Rupture Debuff Ability Accuracy, 70% personal Rupture potency, fights more aggressively and stops attempting to trigger Chilling Howl as a Defender.
- Gain Unblockable and Unstoppable Passives for 2.5 seconds at the end of Heavy and Special Attacks. Cooldown: 10 seconds.
- Gain a Regeneration Passive healing 0.65% of missing Health every 0.5 seconds. Against Cosmic Champions, gain an additional Regeneration when struck by a Special Attack while Dashing forward.
- Remove all Lycanthropy Charges when this ability ends.

- Rupture
- Werewolf has a reliable Rupture that he can apply with Lights, Mediums and Special Attacks that can even trigger through Blocks. This is a very powerful tool that can be played into to make him a potent Rupture Champion.
- Power Gain – via Chilling Howl
- Werewolf has a reduced Combat Power Rate to start with but that’s because he has a controllable utility that he can use to gain power! This would be through his Chilling Howl, which is more effective when further behind in power, making him gain Specials faster than the normal Champion.
- Regeneration – Curse of Lycanthropy
- Being a werewolf, Regeneration is going to be a strong aspect of the kit. When Werewolf starts hitting his stride, his access to Regeneration allows this Champion to be a good selection for many game modes. The fact that it is re-triggerable makes this even more potent!
- Unblockable / Unstoppable – Curse of Lycanthropy
- When triggering Curse of Lycanthropy, the gameplay loop for Werewolf can get a bit easier for Summoners by rewarding them further for the actions that they should be performing in this kit. Heavy Attacks and Special Attacks will grant the above Buffs, allowing Werewolf to really go to town on opponents. If triggering this when an opponent is countered, the fight tends to go Werewolf’s way.
Weaknesses[]
- Slow
- Using Slow against Werewolf will nullify his Unstoppable effect as it reduces the Ability Accuracy of Unstoppable effects by 100% and allows him to be Struck. This is a good way to prevent some major damage while fighting Werewolf and make him less threatening.
- Wither / Petrify
- Wither and Petrify both affect Ability Power Rate which can lower the potency of the Chilling Howl Werewolf utilizes, really slowing down his Power Gain. Petrify also targets a strong point of Werewolf, his Regeneration which is granted with his Curse of the Lycanthropy.
- Suppression / Enervate / Power Lock
- The above mentioned Debuffs can really hinder Power Gain for Werewolf and since he starts behind the ball with a lowered Combat Power Rate, these effects will really put him behind in the fight for damage
